Hydropower Management
This course provides an in-depth exploration of hydropower operations and management, blending theoretical knowledge with practical experience. The curriculum is structured into four components: (1) theoretical lectures on hydropower operations and management, (2) field days at micro-, medium-, and large-scale hydropower plants to collect relevant data, (3) individual and group assignments focusing on real-world applications, and (4) a comprehensive research project. Students are expected to actively participate in field days near hydropower plants, conducting hydropower-related field observations and analyse data. These field days, typically lasting the entire day, will be scheduled at the beginning of the course to ensure adequate planning and preparation.
